In 2014, the site was moved to a mobile-friendly format, with content being added and updated regularly.

About the site

clevelandskyscrapers.com was created to provide an online resource for others interested in the rich architectural heritage of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio

In 2002, editors at Arcadia Publishing viewed clevelandskyscrapers.com and visited Cleveland for a walking tour with the webmaster and subsequently signed a contract to publish a book. In November 2003, the 128-page "Cleveland's Downtown Architecture" was published, with approximately 7,500 copies sold as of 2024.

In 2009, producers at Hudson Street Productions (a division of Viacom) contacted the webmaster for licensing an image of the Cleveland skyline for a new sitcom. The photo was taken from the top floor of Rhodes Tower at Cleveland State University in April 2006. On June 16, 2010, Hot in Cleveland aired its first episode on the TV Land network with the photo as the opening graphic.

The award-winning show starred Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick. In September 2014, the show's 100th episode was released and entered syndication. Hot in Cleveland had an average audience of 2.4 million viewers per episode in six seasons, is licensed in 210 countries and syndicated in 96% of the United States.

In July 2014, Cleveland Business Connects produced an article for its monthly 'etrends' column about the webmaster and clevelandskyscrapers.com.
